JCI UK’s Public Speaking Academy is back by popular demand in 2020.  The highly acclaimed Academy is all about helping delegates to take their speaking skills to the next level, no matter what the starting point.  Over two days, delegates will cover:

  • Owning the stage – charisma, body language and connecting with your audience
  • Storytelling – communicating your message and your values
  • Writing an impactful speech – structure, language and clarity
  • JCI competitions – tips for debating and extempore

Our trainers are experienced JCI members and senators.  Each with their own style and experiences, they will ensure a holistic learning environment to suit the different personalities, strengths and ambitions of our delegates. There will be plenty of opportunities throughout the weekend for participants to practice and receive constructive feedback.  A supportive and fun atmosphere is guaranteed!  Push yourself outside of your comfort zones and give it a go!

The Academy is always in high demand and with limited capacity so to give our delegates the best experience, early booking is advised.  Your booking is not confirmed until payment is received.

Ticket costs:

Early bird rates – book by 26th January 2020

  • JCI Member £79 *
  • Non JCI Member £159

Regular rate – book from 27th January 2020 until 1st March 8pm

  • JCI Member £89
  • Non JCI Member £199

In addition to the training, tickets include:

  • Tea, coffee, and other soft drinks on both days
  • Lunch on both the Saturday and Saturday

Please note – the ticket does NOT include accommodation and should delegates want this, they are required to arrange, book and pay this themselves for example by using www.booking.com.

Cancellation policy

To be eligible for a 100% refund, cancellations must be notified, in writing, no later than 27th January 2020. To be eligible for a 50% refund, cancellations must be notified, in writing, no later than 15th February 2020. All refunds will be subject to any administration fees being deducted. Any cancellations received after 15th February 2020 will not be eligible for a refund.
